RunecraftingCrushing is a profession

Crushing equipment is now a profession: Runecrafting, free to learn and shared by all the characters of your account. Every crush gives Runic Dust and experience, and Focus Seals and rune fusion make the runes you need.

  • Free to learnFrom Hel Munster in the smithmagus workshop at [-5,-12]. It needs nothing first.
  • Same runes as beforeYour level never lowers the runes; every crush also gives Runic Dust and experience.
  • Focus SealsConcentrate an item's primary runes on one characteristic, from level 40.

New profession

Runecrafting: crushing is a profession

The Crusher of the smithmagus workshops used to break any equipment for anyone. Crushing is now the Runecrafting profession: free, independent of every other profession, levels 1 to 100, and shared by all the characters of your account.

  • Learn it from Hel Munster in the smithmagus workshop at [-5,-12]: choose “Learn the Runecrafting profession”. It needs nothing first, not even level 30 in another profession. You get a Runic Hammer.
  • Use it at any Crusher: Runecraft equipment crushes. The old option “Turn an item into runes” opens the same window for Runecrafters and tells everyone else where to learn the profession.
  • Same runes as before: your level never lowers the runes. It only limits the items: equipment up to level 2 × your level (at least 20, at most 200).
  • More than runes: every crushed item also gives Runic Dust and Runecrafting experience, and a chat line shows an estimate before you craft.

Focus Seals

A Focus Seal concentrates the runes of one characteristic: Strength, Intelligence, Chance or Agility. Put one seal per item in the crushing window: the item's other primary runes are given up, and part of their value goes to the seal's characteristic. Every other rune is crushed as usual.

Every profession

Craft invitations work again, for every profession

The native craft invitation works for every profession again, Runecrafting included. A crafter next to a workbench crafts with the other player's ingredients, and the result goes to the player who brought them.

Questions

FAQ

Do I lose runes at a low Runecrafting level?

No. A crush gives the same runes at every level; your level only limits the item level you can crush.

Can someone else crush for me?

Yes. Invite a Runecrafter at a Crusher: the runes and dust are yours, the experience and the fee are theirs.

Do I need to reinstall?

The launcher updates your client automatically the next time you open it. Nothing to reinstall.
