Statue of Ecaflip, Astrub [6,-16]

Enter the playground of Ecaflip

Ecaflipus is the playground of the god Ecaflip, a divine dimension converted from Dofus 2: floating islands of luck and games, 3 zones, 3 boss dungeons, 23 quests and 22 kinds of monsters from level 110 to 220.

  • The Ecaflipus Portal stands next to the statue of Ecaflip in Astrub [6,-16], marked "Portal to Ecaflipus" on the world map. Talk to it and step through. Any level may use it.
  • It leads to the arrival platform [-3,-6], where Ecaflip's Herald waits. The platform's portal always takes you back to the statue in Astrub.
  • Ecaflipus has its own zaap on the Elevation Stones [2,-8], and its own world map.

Three zones, three families

Elevation Stones
level 110: the Ecaflees (Fleeflee, Melouse, Bytbul, Geriatick)
Hairy Moor
level 160: the Weremoggies (Catsquatch, Pouncer, Catichan, Calleyat)
Kerub's Temple
level 212: the Great Game (Soldier of Fortune, Lucky Knight, Jammy Jack, King Playa) and the Wanted monster Sham
Catzino
now and then a Catzino joins a group: a lucky cat that drops its family's resources and Catzino Tokens

Three boss dungeons

Colousses, Ush Galesh and Catseye

Each dungeon is 4 rooms and a boss room behind a keeper who takes its key. Keys are made by Handymen from the resources of the dungeon's family (the Ush's Plateau Key also takes Corn, a Farmer's cereal), and the family's monsters sometimes drop a key too.

Colousses's Meowsoleum [3,-9], level 110

Colousses's Meowsoleum [3,-9], level 110

Colousses calls three invulnerable lice, each in a Mutation (I, II or III). Hit a louse in melee to move it to the next Mutation and the two others back. While the three are not in the same Mutation, Colousses sends 200% of the damage he takes back to your whole team.

Ush's Plateau [7,-3], level 160

Ush's Plateau [7,-3], level 160

Two Ush fight together and share their damage: the Red one only feels melee hits, the Black one only ranged ones, and each landed hit flips its colour. Poisons, glyphs and pushes do not hurt them, and when one falls the other falls too.

Catseye Challenge [-9,-22], level 200

Catseye Challenge [-9,-22], level 200

Catseye (level 220) is invulnerable for 20 turns. The floor is a board of die faces: when one of his allies starts its turn, everyone standing on the same face is hurt. Where Catseye ends his turn he lays healing white glyphs and blocking Dice on his face.

Boss Tokens and three new Dofus

Every winner of a boss fight gets the boss's Boss Token (Colousses, Ush Galesh or Catseye Boss Token). Redeem it at Kat Zino's Boss Token machine, in the Astrub casino below the zaap [4,-19], for the boss's resource, a piece of its set or, with luck, its egg: the Bristle Dofus (Colousses), the Clover Dofus (Ush Galesh) or the Cat's Eye Dofus (Catseye). The bosses themselves sometimes drop the Perfect version of their egg, always at its peak.

Quests, shops and resources

Frigost and Ohwymi

Every boss fights its own way

Every Frigost boss now has its own mechanic: most start Invulnerable, and you have to find how to break it. These rules only apply in the boss's own room. The full rules are in the in-game Knowledge Base.

Frigost: break the Invulnerable

  • Royal Mastogob: push it to break its Invulnerable; the first break makes it go Berserkgob.
  • Korriander: get one of his Sporachnees to end its turn on a mushroom glyph. Starting or ending your own turn on one kills you.
  • Kolosso: only a hit from one of your summons breaks him. Professor Xa's Telepathy stops all healing on your side.
  • Klime: from his 3rd turn, push someone into him. End your turns on a white glyph, or you are Pacifist on your next turn.
  • Royal Pingwin: heal a character standing next to it. But every heal deals 600 neutral damage to the characters next to the healed one.
  • Obsidemon: deal push damage to a character standing next to it. Stay within 7 cells of the Maglob when it explodes.
  • Celestial Bearbarian: hit him in melee. In his room any push damage on your characters kills them.

Frigost: the hard rooms

  • Nileza: never end your turn next to a teammate. Ranged hits swap her with the attacker.
  • Buck Anear: bring him within reach of a Hamrack: its Rudder makes him vulnerable for 4 of his turns.
  • Tengu Snowfoux: move a Yokai to his diagonal and hit a Yomi in line with him with your weapon, both before his next turn. Foster Fuji grows stronger each time an ally dies.
  • Sylargh: make one of his zombies explode 5 to 10 cells from him.
  • Missiz Freezz: every monster is Invulnerable and Heavy. Use the black repelling traps under your characters to push them.

Count Harebourg, reworked

  • Odd rounds (Time Wasting): each damage line you deal him teleports you to the cell opposite you across him.
  • Even rounds (Half-Time): each damage line teleports him across you. If a fighter stands there they swap, and he loses Invulnerable until the start of your next turn.
  • Confusion: at the start of each turn your spells are turned around you, depending on your HP. Your weapon is turned the same way, and the area is drawn where it really lands.
  • Red glyphs on his cross, Multicount illusions, and the Treadfast, Cycloid and Sinistrofu of his room. His page in the Knowledge Base has every rule.

Ohwymi

  • Mantiscore: the first hit makes him jump and Feint for 2 of his turns (-50% resistances, +200 Power). Provocaspion pulls everyone in.
  • El Piko: each turn he picks one of four Tactics for his band, and his spells change with it. Guerrilla punishes teammates who end their turn next to each other.
  • Wurmlord: only hurt in close combat, and he never moves. When a worm dies you all lose 500 HP: kill him last.
  • Tal Kasha: Invulnerable. Make her start a turn on the glyphs of 3 different servants to break her curse for the rest of the fight.

The Frozen Continent

Frigost, walked end to end

The whole island can now be walked from the Permafrost Port quay, and back, and every quest of the island can be done.

Getting around

  • Every Frigost dungeon gate can now be reached on foot: 13 of 13, where only 2 could be before.
  • Alma's Cradle: through the cave at the end of the Lonesome Pine Trails [-58,-69].
  • The Fangs of Glass: from the Petrified Forest [-72,-71], and through the frozen caves. From there, Mount Scauldron leads to the castle entrance.
  • The Royal Pingwin's Excavation: climb onto the scaffolding on the Frozen Lake [-64,-55].
  • The Snowfoux Caverns and the Snowfoux Den: the cave in the Asparah Gorge [-80,-75].
  • The castle stairs and ramps can be climbed with a click: 308 exits you could not reach now work, and the whole castle is open. Castle doors hidden under passage art were moved where you can click them.

Quests

  • 99 quests that were switched off now work: all 180 quests of the island can be done.
  • Frigost NPCs no longer greet you with a "you have the Lurgi" refusal. Nobody on Frigost has the Lurgi.
  • Below a quest's level, its giver now tells you in the chat when to come back (Frigost and Ohwymi).
  • The Hack and Slash quests of the Frigost dungeons that could never start now do: they start in any room of their dungeon and end when you beat the boss.

To Sakai by air

  • The Ego Flagship Company Agent waits by his flying machine on the Icefields of Frigost [-68,-34]. The flight to Sakai Plain [-55,-41] costs 1000 kamas, the same as the boat.
  • He also sells the flight at [-58,-69]. On Sakai Plain he flies you back to the Icefields for free.

Class changes

Sram, Sacrier, Feca and Ecaflip

Sram

  • Virulence hits twice as hard: per stack, 2-3 at rank 1 up to 8-10 at rank 6.
  • Its tick now scales like one of your Air hits: your Agility, Power, damage and Air damage.
  • Invisibility costs 2 AP (1 AP from rank 5) and gives +1 MP while invisible at ranks 1-4, +2 at rank 5 and +3 at rank 6.
  • The animations of your area spells and trap triggers now cover exactly the area they hit, at every rank.

Sacrier

  • Hemograsp (level 9) costs 3% of your current HP and pulls every enemy in a cross of 3 cells around you (4 at rank 6) toward you, the farthest first.
  • Ravages (level 26): dash up to 5 cells in a straight line toward the target, then hit it for Earth damage. Twice per turn.
  • Swap (the Shared Pain scroll spell) swaps places with an ally or an enemy next to you: up to 6 casts per turn at rank 6.
  • Berserk (level 110): lose 70% of your current HP for +10% final damage, and you cannot be tackled, until you are back at 50% of your HP. Cooldown 6 turns at rank 1 down to 3 at rank 6.
  • Blood Reckoning: melee finisher, cooldown 5 turns at rank 1 down to 2 at rank 6, +30% of the HP your maximum HP lost to erosion this fight.
  • Absorption (twice per turn, range 1-5 at rank 6) and Thunderclap (twice per turn at rank 6) heal you for half the damage they deal.
  • Crimson Bloom can be cast on an empty cell and grows to 3 cells at rank 6. The Flying Sword's Needle Bite can be cast twice per turn and heals you for half its damage.
  • Searing Brand, Flashboil and Blood Oath are replaced by Hemograsp, Ravages and Swap: you get the new spell in the same shortcut slot at your next login, with the spell points you had spent refunded.

Feca: a new learn order

  • Level 1: Natural Attack, Elemental Armour and Torrential Glyph.
  • Then Cloudburst 3, Protective Current 6, Convergence 9, Riptide 13, Burning Glyph 17, Immunity 21, Glyphic Detonation 26, Bubble 31, Truce 36, Undertow 42, Bastion 48.
  • Glyph of Repulsion 54, Teleport 60, Expulsion 70, Feca Shield 80, Spell Rebound 90, Guardian's Domain 100.
  • Your Feca gets every spell its level now allows at its next login, at rank 1. Nothing is removed.

Ecaflip

  • Topkaj and Playful Claw have new sounds (a card flick and a claw slash) instead of the noise that sounded like ocean waves.
  • The Topkaj chain now plays one short sound per hop and leaves nothing behind on the battlefield.

Looks and equipment

Your look, sharper gear, better sets

Body slider

  • Female characters of every class can choose a silhouette in 5 steps, from slightly slimmer to fuller, in a new Silhouette row at character creation.
  • Change it later with the Plastic Surgery Potion, sold by Vincent Van Gobb at the Astrub zaap [4,-19] for 1,000,000 kamas. Drink it outside a fight, pick a notch in the mirror and Validate: the potion is only used up if your silhouette really changes. It can be traded.

Sharp equipment art

  • More than 600 converted hats, cloaks, shields and weapons are now drawn as sharp vector art instead of blurry pictures, on your character and in fights.
  • Converted capes now fly out behind you when you run, with a small flutter, like the original capes.
  • Hats sit a little lower on the head, as they should.

Every extra piece counts

  • Each set bonus tier is now better than the one below: Kwak sets, Koalak, Treechnid, Shroom, the costume sets, Relics of the Crimson Dawn, Evils of Ephedrya, Bitter-Hammer, Rhoarim and more.
  • The Royal Mastogob Set with 4 pieces now adds +2 damage.
  • The Novice Set gets new tiers for 5 to 8 pieces.
  • The Haks Or Mask, Cloak, Ring and Belt now show and count as the Haks Or Set, with a new 5-piece tier.

Shields and swords

  • Seven more shields count as a piece of their set: Crackler, Treechnid, Crocodyl Chief, Prespic, Precious, Cycloid and Possessed.
  • The Crackler Shield joins the Crackler Set, now 7 pieces: +100 Vitality, +50 Strength, +50 Chance, +18 resistance to every element, +1 AP, +1 MP.
  • Swords reach 1 to 2 cells and hit a cone: the cell you strike and the 3 cells of the row behind it.

Smaller changes

Also in this update

Dungeons and fights

  • Leaving a fight counts as a defeat: if you give up a fight in a dungeon room, or are dropped from it after disconnecting, you can go back to that room. Talk to the gatekeeper, no key needed. It also works when you leave and your group carries on.
  • Blop glyphs hit a fighter only when it ends its turn on them, once, in the Blop's element. Before, every glyph could hit everyone at every turn.
  • The Blop dungeon key now takes you to its last 4 fight rooms, then Bibiblop's choice of Royal Blop.
  • When a fighter dies, the debuffs it put on you (for example the Blopshroom's -Range) now disappear at once.

Monsters

  • Monsters of Frigost, Sakai, Ohwymi, Enurado, Albuera and Vulkania were checked against Dofus 2: resistances, spell grades, critical areas and missing spell effects fixed.
  • Converted monsters now have their own sounds in fights.
  • The three Enurado Poachers now look different: yellow, blue and red. The Ouginak Dopple has gold hair and gear, the Forgelance Dopple red hair, and the Ohwymi Shadow Duellist its own shadowy look.
  • The Snow Bow Meow pet (1% from the Royal Mastogob) now looks like a Snow Bow Meow, with its own icon, instead of Komet's antlers.

World and professions

  • The edges of the converted maps (Frigost, Sakai, Ohwymi, Enurado, Albuera, Vulkania, Ecaflipus) now fade softly into the sides instead of ending on a hard cut.
  • Fishing reach: without a rod you reach spots 2 cells away; a rod keeps its longer reach (Standard 3, Big 5, Telescopic 7, Harpoon 8, Kralamour 9). A spot farther out is fished from its own shore, never from across the map.
  • A tool in the Lumberjack or Alchemist slot no longer floats in the buff bar with a broken tooltip.

Server messages

  • Before a planned restart, the chat warns you 10, 5 and 1 minute ahead. For an update, it tells you to close your client, wait about 5 minutes and reopen the launcher. A cancelled restart is announced too.
  • The welcome message ends with a clickable Discord link that opens the invite in your browser. Links typed by other players are never opened.
