The new class

The pack is on the hunt

Ouginaks are dog-headed barbarians who mark a Prey, hunt it down with their pack and let their Rage turn them into a beast. Hunter, Earth, Water, Fire and Air, playable from level 1.

Passive: Rage and Prey

  1. Mark

Prey (level 3) marks one enemy as your team's Prey. Everyone on your team who damages it is healed 15% to 25% of that damage, and many of your spells do more on it.

  2. Rage

Some spells give you 1 Rage. Rage I: you take 10% less damage. Rage II: 19% less. Rage cannot be dispelled.

  3. Transform

Your third Rage turns you into your Animal Form and empties your Rage: 20% more damage, +2 MP, and you cannot be locked.

  4. Hunt again

The Animal Form lasts until the end of your next turn. Then you are back on two legs, and your Rage builds up again.

  • Prey Level 3

    One per team
Casting Prey on another enemy moves the mark. If the Prey dies, you can cast Prey again at once.
    Your team heals
Everyone on your team who damages the Prey is healed 15% to 25% of that damage, by the rank of Prey.
    Your spells
Many Ouginak spells do more on the Prey: they hit harder, steal HP or MP, or bring you next to it.
  • Rage Rage I · Rage II

    Gain 1 Rage
Watchdog and Carrion (if a fighter stands on the targeted cell), Tibia, Protective Pelt (when the shielded ally takes push damage) and Bark (when its target takes a close-combat hit).
    Damage taken
10% less at Rage I, 19% less at Rage II.
    Use 1 Rage
R-Canine, Appeasement and Sniff need Rage and use 1, so you can delay the transformation.
  • Animal Form 3rd Rage

    You gain
20% more damage and +2 MP, and you cannot be locked.
    You give up
Your weapon. Carcass, Tally Ho, Mastiff, Carrion, Amarok and Marrow Bone reach 2 cells at most. Protective Pelt, R-Canine and Sniff cannot be cast, you gain no Rage and the Rage damage reduction is gone.
    It ends
At the end of your next turn, or at once with Appeasement.

Getting started

Where your journey begins

Pick the Ouginak on the character creation screen. Your three colours change the hair and the hound's mane, the leather gear, and the fur, on the portrait, on your character and on the hound alike.

Your own room in Incarnam

Your own room in Incarnam

New Ouginaks start in their own room in Incarnam, under their statue.

The statue in Astrub

The statue in Astrub

The Ouginak statue stands at [-1,-20], on the lawn inside the west wall, and is marked on the world map and the minimap. It works like the other class statues.

Temple and mounts

Temple and mounts

Ouginaks follow the Osamodas temple. They ride Dragoturkeys like every other class, with their own mounted look. On a mount you keep that look while in Animal Form; the Animal Form rules apply all the same.

The in-game Knowledge Base has a full Ouginak article, and the Classes page lists every spell with all its ranks.
